Robert Kraft joined President Trump aboard the Air Force One in West Palm Beach on Sunday.

After supporting President Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, Patriots owner Robert Kraft is flying on Air Force One with the former businessman Sunday.

The Associated Press tweeted a picture of Kraft standing next to Trump on the plane as the President spoke to reporters. It's currently unclear what Kraft's purpose for being on the aircraft is.

Kraft is a lifelong Democrat but jumped ship during the recent campaign to back Trump, his longtime friend. Back in January, Kraft revealed to the Daily News that Trump's kindness to him after Kraft's wife, Myra, died in 2011 meant a lot to him.

"He called me once a week for the whole year, the most depressing year of my life when I was down and out," Kraft said at the time. "He called me every week to see how I was doing, invited me to things, tried to lift my spirits. He was one of five or six people that were like that. I remember that."

In February, Kraft had dinner at Mar-a-Lago with Trump, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the two leaders' wives.

Kraft is not the only member of the Patriots organization to have a connection with the president. Trump said he received a letter of support from Bill Belichick ahead of the election and Tom Brady has called Trump his friend in the past and displayed a "Make America Great Again" hat in his locker.
