The drama between Justin Theroux and his downstairs neighbor is turning into a real dog fight.
Theroux, 45, filed a $350,000 suit against lawyer Norman Resnicow in May alleging a “targeted and malicious years-long harassment campaign” over renovations the actor made in his Greenwich Village apartment.
Resnicow, 69, filed documents in Manhattan Federal Court this week, answering a series of claims “The Leftovers” star made. He alleges the actor’s take on the tiff is “as fictional as the television series in which he recently starred.”
Resnicow claims he has endured “10 years of exposure to various varieties of noises,” including “deliberately dropping heavy healthclub weights on the floor.”
He also claims he has suffered though “years of endless day and night barking, yowling and crying of the several rescue dogs Theroux left for several years in the apartment after he de-camped for California.”
Resnicow additionally says Theroux once asked him to help with the “exiting of Theroux’s longtime live-in girlfriend from his apartment because Theroux had broken up with her.”
Theroux, who married “Friends” star Jennifer Anniston in 2015, accused Resnicow of killing ivy growing on an outdoor terrace and shutting off electricity and an outdoor water line, which the lawyer denies.
The not-so-neighborly beef began when Resnicow asked Theroux to soundproof his pad during renovations.
